Client: The Renewal Trust
Area: St Ann's Nottingham

There are currently a number of organisations that are committed to improving the Hungerhill Allotment site. tanc were commissioned to find out what the allotments meant to local people and what was stopping people considering taking up an allotment.

The research involved a questionnaire survey of 100 people. Findings are being used to target publicity to people who have indicated they are interested in getting an allotment, review procedures for renting an allotment and inform funding bids.

Interestingly whilst only 10% of people were actually interested in taking an allotment themselves 75% of people questioned felt that it was very important to continue to use and protect the site.
